Current Status
For 16U and 19U, the Spring Cup will start in March 2024. Teams will be formed once enough players have signed up. You will register for the wait list and you will be only be charged once a spot on a team is assured. Spring League is open to players who are new to soccer or new to AYSO, as well as to returning players.
For 10U – 14U, a Spring League will be held in cooperation with neighboring AYSO regions. Games may be on either Saturday or Sunday in Pasadena, Arcadia, South Pasadena, or nearby. Spring League is open to returning players as well as new AYSO players. Every team will have a player or two who are new to soccer.
SCORE REPORTING: Coaches of both teams need to submit a score report with this link.
The schedule shows which team is responsible for providing 2 referees (Center and AR) and which team is responsible for providing 1 AR.
NEXT (anybody who played in the fall can put a team together with friends) will train one night a week and play scrimmages or go to tournaments (10U, 12U, 14U). You can play in both Spring League in NEXT, but most people will pick one or the other. NEXT will mostly combine all-star teams for tournaments. Note that to play in an AYSO tournament, you must have played in the preceding fall season soccer league. You do not need to register for NEXT. Coaches will coordinate teams.
For younger players, there may be a Sunday afternoon pickup game. If you are a certified coach and would like to coordinate this activity, write to [email protected]. Grad Series or 8U teams may go to tournaments. Find 9 or 10 kids who want to play together, and you can have a team.
If you do not get placed on a team, register in May to play in the fall league.
General Information – Spring Soccer
Spring League is a league of balanced teams, similar to the fall league, only in cooperation with neighboring regions. Teams are assigned by a blind draft. Region 13 will form a handful of teams in each age division, boys’ and girls’ 10U, 12U, and 14U. Depending on who signs up, girls and boys may be playing together. Starting in March, games may be on Saturdays and Sundays, except Mothers’ Day and Easter.
NEXT is for coaches to organize a team to play scrimmages or compete in tournaments, with practices up to twice a week.
