(+) The Minimum Team Size is the fewest number of players required for a legal game. Fewer than this number of players results in a forfeit.

(++) Table indicates the total minutes in a game. All games consist of two halves equally split.

(*) Goal sizes may vary in 10U and 12U.

(**) All 6U-8U games consist of a pair of side-by-side simultaneous games, each utilizing half of the players, typically 4 players on a side.

Field setup

The field sizes are set out in the AYSO National Rules and Regulations. Region 13 mostly uses these sizes

Length (yd) Width (yd) Goal size (ft) Locations
6U 30 25 3 x 4 (max 4 x 6) Victory, FIS, JR
7U 40 27 4 x 6 MacDonald, LDS
8U 45 – 50 30 4 x 6 FIS, Victory, PCY, JR

6.5 x 12 (max 6.5 x 18.5) Victory, Muir, Brookside
12U 80 45 – 55 6.5 x 18.5 (max 7 x 21) Victory, Muir, McKinley

19U

The 7U fields at LDS are 42 x 30. I think they’re a little too big for that age, and 40 x 27, like at MacDonald would be better. Or maybe even a little smaller.

The back 8U fields at Victory are 45 yards long. The rest are 50 yards long.

10U fields at Brookside are 44 yards wide.
