Current status
Register now for the Fall 2024 team. Sign up for the waiting list and you’ll be added to a team.
There is a G19U team and two B19U teams. As of August 5, all have room to add additional players.
16U
For the 2024 fall season, Pasadena and South Pasadena are working together to hold a house league with 6 boys’ teams and 6 girls’ teams.
-
- One practice per week on a weeknight
- Games on Sundays and maybe Saturdays
- Occasional games on weeknights
- Coaches are certified as Intermediate or Advanced coach
Save the dates: 16U starts with training camps on August 18 and August 25, for all the girls and all the boys.
After the training camps, the coaches will meet to choose balanced teams, and then practices will start after Labor Day.
Practices and games will be in Pasadena and South Pasadena, which is more driving than there was in 14U, but still less than the past 16U programs.
The season will run from Labor Day through early November, when the CIF soccer season starts.
There may be a playoff tournament at the end (TBD).
Upper division
For boys and girls born 2005-2009, Region 13 joins with our neighboring regions to give 16U and 19U players an opportunity to play at a competitive level during the regular Fall season.
Coaches are selected by early June and all have Advanced certifications to provide teams with high-level training. Players are selected through a draft process, typically held mid-July. Practices begin in early August, two nights per week, and games begin in late August. Most games are on Sunday, with some on weeknights. The season runs through mid-November, ending just in time so as not to conflict with the HS season, per CIF rules.
Players must register online. Please register early, to give the coaching staff time to prepare the team draft. Because of the limited number of volunteers, and the competitive nature of this program, not all who sign up will be guaranteed a spot on a roster. All players register to the wait list and are invited in from the wait list only when they are drafted to a team.
Please contact docud@ayso13.org for more information.
The Upper Division program is run by Area 1-C, so all schedules and standings can be found at ayso1C.org. Upper Division follows the Area’s Combined Rules and Regulations. All players must sign the Player Agreement in order to participate.
Please note that because Upper Division teams are selected earlier than other teams, the refund policy has a slightly different timeline. It takes wait list only after July 15, and possible earlier if space fills up.
The Upper Division draft rules can be found here.
