The lights on McKinley and FIS are portable lights made by Sportslite. The lights and tripods are stored in the bins at McKinley and FIS, while we will ask Coaches to take the batteries home, charge them, and bring them to practice weekly.

A video of how to set the lights up is here, and each light can be set up or broken down in a minute or less.

We suggest asking parents for help with light set up and break down and returning the tripods and lights to the storage bins.

Light Set Up.

  1. Unfold the tripod legs and place the light on the stand. Tighten the screw to lock into place.
  2. Place the battery in the light and connect the cable.
  3. Push the on button to turn the light on.
  4. Raise the middle pole to the highest height. Lock the thumb screws.

Light Break Down.

  1. Push the button on the middle pole to lower the light. The pole is air cushioned so it will gradually descend.
  2. Push the button to turn off the light.
  3. Disconnect the cable and remove the battery
  4. Loosen the thumb screws and remove the light head
  5. Fold the tripod

Please charge the lights for every practice. The lights will give about 2 hours with a full battery.
