Teams are ranked by winning percentage. A tie counts as half a win and half a loss. Each team has an extra game, "played" by their assigned referees. Teams with 12 or more referee credits win this extra game; teams with 6 to 11 credits tie it; teams with 5 or fewer credits lose it. The number of referee credits is the GREATER of a) the number of games actually worked by the team's referees or b) the number of assignments covered either by the team's referees or by pre-arranged substitutes.
For example, the first team listed below (Elhadary in BU14) finished with 7 wins, 1 tie, 1 loss, plus a win in the referee column. This adds up to 8.5 wins in 10 games and a winning percentage of .850.
The tiebreakers:
0) Sportsmanship points, provided the difference is more than 15. This was never an issue as no team lost more than 14 points during the year.
1) Head-to-head play. In case of a multiple tie, use all the round-robin games. Any remaining ties at this point continue down the list.
2) Most victories. (One win is better than two ties.)
3) Fewest goals allowed.
4) Coin flip.
