Passback Used Soccer Gear SHARE THE EQUIPMENT! SHARE THE GAME!

Please join AYSO Region 13 In our ongoing partnership with the LA Galaxy and the US Soccer Foundation in our efforts to PassBack new and lightly used soccer gear for kids in need.

Players can donate soccer balls, cleats (tied together please), shinguards, jerseys, shorts and socks.

Think of the smiles that the donation will put on the face of kids who can not afford to buy a jersey! Hey, after all, when you signed up for AYSO this season you received a beautiful new neon-plaid-polka dot-striped-checked jersey to wear; and when you sign up next year you will get a new one; so pull those old jerseys out of the bottom of the closet and share.

'Many people in other countries--and even kids in some areas of the USA--cannot afford soccer gear or they do not have access to a place where they can buy it.' says Marina Lesse, who is coordinating the used gear drive. 'This collection will help kids throughout the world and in our community have the chance to play soccer with adequate equipment.'

Over the past few years your donations of over 10,000 items of soccer gear have benefitted THOUSANDS of kids as far away as Cameroon, Kenya, Ghana, the Gulf States of the USA, Mexico, several Central American countries and as close as our own city, our donations have gone to: LA Scores, the LA Unified School District, Pasadena Unified School District, Hollywood P.A.L. and the Boys and Girls Club.

We are pleased to accept donations from other AYSO regions as well as Club and school programs.

For more information, contact Marina Lesse at UsedSoccerGear@aol.com .

Ask the Ref link is now available in Region 13

If you have general questions about The Laws of the Game, or if you're just
not sure about that call you made, just 'Ask the Ref' and get
real advice from Gil Acedo, Region 13 National Referee.

To get started, click the Referees tab to your left. Then on the Referee Page, click
on the 'Ask the Ref' icon in the upper right. You can read other posted questions and
answers, or go to the bottom of the page and submit your own. All questions are confidential; any questions
of general interest are posted without the questioner's name.

This forum is not for complaints about a Ref's calls in a particular game,
but is an opportunity to ask your specific questions and get a clearer
understanding of The Laws and the referee's role.

Enjoy!
John Cucchissi
Region 13 Referee Administrator
