Registration

Quick Facts

Registering to play in Region 13 is a two-step process. First, pre-register your child as a player and yourself as a volunteer online at http://www.eAYSO.org. We will open eAYSO for pre-registration in Region 13 on March 1. Second, bring your printed forms and payment for your registration fees to our Clubhouse on one of the scheduled in person registration completion dates, which are March 22 (for coaches, referees and team parents only), April 12, April 26, May 10 and May 17. Those who do not complete their registrations by May 17 will be put on a waiting list to be placed on a team only to the extent that space is available.

Registration Process Details

Step 1: Online Pre-Registration

Begin the registration process by entering your child's information on http://www.eayso.org, the online database maintained by National AYSO. If you have previously registered a volunteer or player on eAYSO, you will be able to access your information with your email address and password.

After you register your child, the system will also ask you to register yourself as a volunteer. Because AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, we need participation from every family to make our region strong. Please fill out the volunteer form, and select an appropriate position for yourself. Volunteers must re-register each year.

Users must access the eAYSO website with Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above, Netscape version 6.2 and above, or Firefox version 1.0 and above. The website does not function properly with other browsers. Additional information about using eAYSO is available at the eAYSO website.

If you do not have Internet access at home or work, try your local public library, or a FedEx Kinko's or other business that allows you to rent Internet access. We will have a limited number of computers with Internet access available at the Clubhouse on our walk-in registration completion days.

After you complete the pre-registration process, print out two player registration forms for each player and two copies of your volunteer form to bring with you when you complete your registration in person.

Step 2: Payment

You will not be able to pay your registration fees online. You must pay by check, credit card or cash at one of our registration completion days at the Clubhouse.

The fees for 2008 are:

Complete registration at the March 22 early registration for coaches, referees and team parents: $90 per player. To complete your registration on this date, your volunteer registration form must indicate "team coach", "referee" or "team parent".

Complete registration April 12, April 26, May 10 or May 17: $100 for the first player and $90 for every other player from the same family.

Complete registration after May 17: $125 per player.

Step 3: In Person Registration Completion

When you have completed online pre-registration, collect the following items, and bring them with you to complete your registration in person:

The player's parent or guardian must complete registration. Please do not send your player's registration forms with a friend or neighbor.

Save the payment form and receipt that you receive after paying for registration in case you need to request a refund.

A call from your child's coach will alert you to his or her placement on a team. If you have not heard from a coach by September 1, please contact the division coach listed on the Coaching Staff page for your child's division. Do not call before September 1, as such calls consume a great deal of volunteer team that we should devote to team formation and planning for the playing season.

YDP

If you would like information about the YDP program, visit the Programs page on our website. The eAYSO website does not currently allow you to indicate an interest in YDP. Look for the table designated for YDP registration at walk-in registration.

Playing Seasons

For the Under 6 through Under 14 divisions, the regular season lasts for eleven weeks, from the first Saturday after Labor Day in September until just before Thanksgiving in November. The Under 16 and Under 19 divisions complete play a couple of weeks earlier, so that players can participate in the high school soccer season. The Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 divisions have playoffs the first two weekends in December. All-Stars from the Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 divisions play a four to six week season in January and February.

Late Registration and the Waiting List

The open registration period closes on May 17. We then determine from the number of registered players, availability of volunteers and past experience how many team we will form in each division.

We will continue to accept pre-registrations on eAYSO until September 1, from players who wish to go on the waiting list. If space is available, we will inform you when and where you may bring your forms and payment. We will contact the player's parents by telephone and by e-mail. If we do not receive a response within 48 hours, we will move on to the next eligible player on the waiting list.

As soon as the player's registration is completed at the Clubhouse, the player will be added to the division, and then assigned to a team. The player's coach will contact you with additional team information.
