Practice Field Request Form

In Region 13, each team is allocated one practice field time slot per week except for YDP.

Coaches must practice at the assigned time and place. Our program is one of the largest users of fields in the Pasadena / Altadena / La Cañada area; our fields program is successful in large part through our cooperation with the local cities and school districts. If coaches abuse the policy by practicing on fields for which we do not have permits, it jeopardizes the entire fields program.

Practice fields are allocated according to the following guidelines:

The younger divisions have shorter practices on smaller fields, as early as possible. U10 also plays on small fields, as this division has a smaller team size. Once fields have been assigned to the younger divisions, the older divisions are assigned the remaining practice slots, as early as possible.

Almost all of the fields we use have lights. Sometimes, depending on the demand for fields, we may assign a younger division team to a field without lights, if the team can begin practice at 4:30 or earlier.

In 2008, practice fields are once again being requested online, and the field assignments will be posted online. Each coach must submit a request for practice field. If a coach does not have access to the Web, the division coach must submit a request form online for that coach, and communicate the field assignment to the coach.

If a coach has two teams, one form should be submitted for both teams. Unless requested otherwise, the two teams will be scheduled back-to-back on the same night and field, the younger team practicing first.

There is a place for special requests on the form.

If you submit multiple field request forms, the later form will entirely replace the earlier form.

Information about the actual practice times will be posted on the home page just as soom as the assignments are completed.

For divisions U6 - U14, the team must have submitted its referee volunteer form before the practice field assignment will be posted.
